My name is Bruce Anthony Lee, I’m a Data Analyst from Florida, and an alumni of the University of Central Florida. My analytical toolset comprises of SQL (PostgreSQL), R Programming (for data cleaning, visualizations, and statistical output), Tableau and Excel; with working adoption of Python.
I’ve worked in two prominent and nationally scaled Education start-ups, and one of the top 5 largest Education SaaS companies in the US. I've also worked in non-profits for City Year AmeriCorps and DOE/DJJ/DOL funded companies.
My desire to work in data came out of a realization that during my time in my Sociology program in undergrad, many of the statistical methods that I learned formed a good plethora of the skills that data analysts use day to day. I figured that there was no reason why I couldn’t leverage what I knew to work on data projects that I was interested in, with companies that work to make a difference.
Specifically, I wanted to work towards bettering outcomes in Education, so I ended up taking on projects centered around gleaning insights from education data and that's where my career has led me. Now I'm taking up writing as it's something that I find enjoyable to do, when I'm not working on my portfolio. Which you can find here.
I want to showcase a lot of the work that went into building my skills, my journey in becoming a better Data Analyst, some musings into my perspective on trends in the professional sphere, with some ramblings about life here and there.
